First Snow

It snowed for the first time on Saturday here and Sydney could hardly wait to go outside. Finally Noah decided to take a nap so I took the kids out for a little while. It takes 30 minutes to get them ready, and at least 30 minutes to clean up after we get back in. So, sometimes I find I am a spoil sport when it comes to playing in the snow. But, I braved it and we ended up having a fun time.
So excited to get out there:

What a Great Great-Grandma!

We spent the week of Thanksgiving at my parents house and this year we were blessed to be able to have my grandmother there with us. It was extra special because she got to meet Noah and my sisters twins for the first time. I was a slacker about taking pictures but I did manage to snap this one of her holding the "triplets." Sometimes I refer to Noah, and the twins as the triplets since they are only three and a half weeks apart.

Noah looks so much older here but I am sure these guys will catch up in no time!

Can You Believe Logan is 2? I CAN"T!!!

Logan turned 2 on November 15th. I can't even believe it! I still feel like he should be my little baby boy not a big boy running all over my house. And yet, he is a big boy who runs, climbs, jumps, talks (I can understand him), yells, makes his will known, and shares lots of love and smiles. I just love this little boy, and as sad as it makes me sometimes, I am really excited to see him grow and change.
Eating the cake:
I made him a dinosaur cake, not too bad since I am not artsy at all!

Opening presents:

I love you little man!

Princess Logan?

Recently Logan has discovered Sydney's dress-up bin. Maybe I should find some boy dress up outfits to add. In the meantime I am sure Logan will continue to crack me up with these awesome costumes. I just love it! So funny!

Sweet Sydney

I just love my little girl! She keeps me laughing most days and I often find myself smiling at her because she just beams joy and love. I can't imagine my life without her or any of my children and I hope that they always keeps me smiling!

Noah's Blessing Day

We blessed Noah on November 1. 2008. We were lucky to have some family come into town to visit for the occasion. Heath's mom and both of my parent's joined us for the special day. I was a little worried that Noah would be too big for our family's heirloom blessing dress. This is the dress that I was blessed in and it is a replica of a dress that has been in my Father's family for a long, long time. It is such a beautiful dress but really is not too masculine. Oh well, it is tradition and I think it is really neat that myself, all of my children, and all of my nieces and nephews on my side of the family have been blessed in this dress.

Sibling snuggle:

Heath's mom made an awesome quilt for Noah and brought it when she came for his blessing. It was really neat and of course it was Noah's ark themed. Here are a few pictures of it. It is almost to nice to use, almost.

Happy Halloween!!

We were lucky enough to have Heath's mom in town for Halloween this year. We had a great time with her and it was great to have a little extra help getting the children ready. After lunch we decided to head out to the pumpkin patch for a little bit. Even though it was gray and started raining on us while we were there we had a great time. The pumpkin patch we went to has lots of extras at it and the children enjoyed seeing lots of farm animals, taking a hayride, getting some ice cream, and cheering on our ward scouts in the "pumkin chunkin'."

This year I didn't have any hand-me-down outfits for the kids so I turned to the Internet for some suggestions. I settled on dressing Sydney and Logan as bubble baths. The costume was pretty easy to put together and the kids were excited about. They were a hit at the ward Trunk or Treat (which was the only trick or treating we did this year) and I think they were just darling! I like the homemade costumes. Maybe I will do another one next year.

Noah went as Santa Claus and he slept through the entire Trunk or Treat. He was dang cute even if we didn't get to see his blue eyes.

Pumpkin Carving 2009

I can't really remember carving pumpkins while I was growing up. I can remember drawing a face on one or two but not really carving. Now that I have children I understand! It is seriously messy. And really, since my children are too young for using anything sharp it is Heath and I carving the pumpkins. We had a few rough moments but we persevered and here are our finished products. Sydney and Logan picked out the templates of Mickey Mouse and Blue from Blues Clues.

Overall, we had a fun night and after I mopped the floor and Heath took out the trash we were back to life as usual. I guess that we will keep doing it since Logan shrieked with joy over seeing Mickey lit up on his pumpkin.

Does He Look Like Me?

So, do you think he looks like me?

Giggles and Grins

Noah has started to laugh and smile now. I love it. He is not my little newborn anymore, but wow is he cute!!!
